Markers III – An artistic and educational project in the streets of Paris


 


Markers IIIis an artistic and educational project conducted with the participation of students fromSup de Pub, under the direction ofSafia Caré, and accompanied byJulien Nonnonas acreative coach.

This project is part of a process ofcritical reflection on brand imageand their omnipresence in public space, questioning the mechanisms of communication, power, and representation at work in our contemporary society.

A critical reflection on brands and society

At the heart ofMarkers III, students were invited to explore thevisual codes of advertising and branding, to better divert, question, and deconstruct them.

The themes addressed directly touch on major current issues:capitalist system, greenwashing, sexism, overconsumption, deceptive marketing narrativesandbrand responsibility.

The works produced do not seek to provide simplistic answers, but toopen the debate, to provoke the gaze and encourage a more conscious reading of the images that shape our daily lives.

An artistic project in the public space of Paris

The creations resulting fromMarkers IIIwerecreated, photographed, and projected through video mapping in the streets ofParis.

By investing in urban space, the project directly confronts the public with the messages it questions, in a context usually dominated by advertising and the brands themselves.

Thevideo mappinghere allows for a temporary diversion of Parisian architecture to make it a critical medium, transforming the city intoa space for artistic and political expression..

The role of Julien Nonnon: creative coach and artistic direction

As part ofMarkers III, Julien Nonnon acted as acreative coach, guiding students in the development of their concepts, the visual shaping of the works, and their adaptation to urban space.

He also ensured theartistic realization, thephotographic shotsand themapping of the works, ensuring coherence between conceptual intention, aesthetics, and projection setup.

This pedagogical approach through practice allowed students to confront their ideas with thereal constraints of artistic production and dissemination in public space..

This edition constitutes a lasting trace of the work carried out, highlighting the works, approaches, and questions developed by the students.
